Executive Chef opportunity in beautiful Grand Cayman Compensation: $150,000 to $165,000 per year, plus bonus, Full-Time Flexible Shifts as needed

The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily kitchen operations in this luxury resort. They will supervise and assist in preparation of all food items for the Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Dining and Banquets. They will work to continually improve employee and guest satisfaction. They are responsible for the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen, work and storage areas. They will work to maximize the financial performance of all areas they are responsible for. They will guide and develop all associates reporting up to them. They will assist the Food and Beverage Director in planning, marketing and pricing.

RESPONSIBILITIES Direct and supervise all Culinary Staff Provide Direction in day to day operations Prepare and maintain budget. Comply with all Aimbridge Hospitality Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position to include: Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR & First Aid Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.  Maintain food costs within budget guidelines Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Kitchen Personnel according to Aimbridge Hospitality S.O.P.’s.  Oversee all kitchen work areas including cooks and stewards Maintain proper record keeping according to Aimbridge Hospitality Standards Complete all paperwork required by Aimbridge Hospitality on a timely basis Develop and adhere to kitchen budget according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards.  Participate in and oversee monthly food inventories Participate in special F&B promotions and provide critique Ensure competitive bidding and adhere to Corporate purchasing guidelines.  REQUIREMENTS 5 years’ experience as Executive Chef in upper upscale or Luxury hotel with multiple food and beverage outlets Must have experience in high volume banquet operations Attention to detail, polished work style, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and conflict resolution skills. Effective in handling problems in workplace, including anticipating, identifying, preventing and solving problems as necessary. Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook a must. Must be able to understand financial information and data. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and Guests.  Multi task and meet deadlines. Confident in public speaking.
