Executive Compensation Consultant

      

The Executive Compensation Consultant is responsible for compensation consulting, administration, and analysis of Thrivent’s compensation programs for executive-level roles.

This role is also responsible for the preparation and review of materials for the board of directors supporting executive compensation and incentive plan designs and results.

In addition, this role has the responsibility for creating customized incentive plans, determining appropriate pay levels and components, resolving complex compensation issues, and preparing both management and board level reports.

May also provide day-to-day compensation support to a division or department.

*This role may sit remote in the US.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Partner with Total Rewards leaders to design and develop a market-based total rewards package for executives to attract, motivate, reward, & retain. 

Administration of Thrivent’s executive compensation programs to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and in timely. 

Lead the design and modification of short-term and long-term compensation programs and the associated guidelines, processes, policies and procedures. 

Develop internal communications and materials to educate applicable audiences (both employees and HR Business Partners) on executive compensation programs and Thrivent’s incentive plans 

Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition on proposals for executive new hire offers, promotions, adjustments, and other ad-hoc analysis. 

Prepare materials for Thrivent’s Board of Directors and Human Resource committee meetings including annual incentive and long-term incentive plans including insights, analysis, and recommendations 

Work with Thrivent’s executive compensation board advisors and ensure all materials related to executive compensation are prepared in time for the appropriate committee meetings 

Prepare monthly and annual reporting on annual and long-term incentive plans for finance to ensure accurate forecasting and planning  

Prepare, update, and create plan documents and other communication materials for annual and long-term incentive plans to ensure Thrivent is in compliance with relevant governance and regulatory requirements 

Leverage market data in the consultation and analysis of compensation issues including: analysis of internal and external compensation data, market pricing and evaluating jobs, developing recommendations for new and existing positions across the organization and participating in salary surveys 

Lead cross-functional teams to refine or implement compensation solutions 

May work with HR business partners and Thrivent leaders to proactively understand the talent and reward needs of a division and design/implement solutions to address those needs. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:   

 Required: 

Bachelor’s degree  

7+ years compensation experience 

Ability to effectively handle highly confidential compensation and other human resources information 

Experience leading large, complex projects 

Expertise in design/development of compensation solutions/processes 

Preferred: 

Master’s degree  

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification 

Accounting or finance background 

Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) and market pricing software (e.g. MarketPay)

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $118,105.00 - $159,788.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
