Executive Compensation Partner
Aon is Hiring a Partner – Talent Solutions, Executive Compensation Advisory As part of an industry-leading practice, you will help our clients make informed decisions by delivering data-driven, innovative, and effective solutions in our Talent Solutions Practice group supporting the Executive Compensation Advisory practice. As a Partner, you will balance multiple client engagements, establish relationships with Compensation Committees and senior business leaders to generate revenue, and lead client teams in the delivery of high-quality client solutions. You will also play a significant role in developing the technical/consulting skills of our team members, especially in the areas of plan design, plan implementation and compensation governance. The ideal candidate would be located near a major Aon Office within the United States. Your Impact as a Partner: Revenue Generation + Generate revenue by responding to requests for proposals and sales leads and business relationships and proactive initiative. + Contribute to business development through participation in industry forums. + Identify current and future needs among our client base to pursue new or expanded work. Leadership and Collaboration + Share subject matter expertise on technical issues, business development techniques, and/or project management skills with colleagues. + Provide leadership, day-to-day direction, technical training and professional mentoring to colleagues in the practice. + Actively collaborate with peers. + Offer input on staffing needs to meet business demands and help with recruitment and on-boarding or new team members. Content Development + Contribute to the development of innovative client solutions, including new plan design or implementation approaches. + Promote brand awareness by writing articles and speaking publicly at industry events. Knowledge and Expertise + A minimum 15 years of relevant work experience with demonstration of prior career progression. + Expert knowledge of executive compensation strategy, design, and implementation issues, including base pay, short- and long-term incentives and equity dilution management. + Deep familiarity with corporate governance policies and trends, especially those related to SEC disclosure, ISS and Glass Lewis policies, and other technical areas impacting executive compensation. + Proven track record of providing trusted advice to clients, understanding business problems, and providing potential solutions. + Exceptional consultative skills, including relationship building, process definition and meeting facilitation. + Advanced client, project, and time management skills. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience: + Recent executive compensation consulting experience within an executive compensation consulting boutique or full-service firm environment. Education: + A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a related field. + A master’s degree or MBA is preferred. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
