Position Summary:
The Aetna Individual and Family Plans Finance team is looking for a creative Executive Director who will build a Center of Excellence team focused on financial controls. This could include leading revenue management best practices for this $10B business, membership reporting and forecasting on the 1.8M members, projecting sales costs, and other financial controls around this dynamic and evolving business. This leader will have strong business acumen, and technical skills to build a best in class function.
More specifically, in this role, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for financial reporting and analysis functions for this dynamic business that could be aligned with membership, revenue, SG&A and risk adjustment. You will collaborate with stakeholders to align financial goals with business objectives, Ensure accurate financial reporting, drive process improvements, and contributes to strategic planning and risk assessment. Integrate inputs across functions to inform Individual market financial forecasts; example functions include Finance, Actuarial, Product and Pricing, Network, Risk Adjustment Operations.Manage senior stakeholders / partners and ensure full transparency on tradeoffs being made across functionsPressure-test key assumptions made in financial and accrual forecasting to ensure appropriatenessIdentify root cause and source of variations in P&L against forecast, across risk adjusted revenue and cost (e.g., claims and risk score trends)Develops the organizations financial strategy which includes financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organizationOversees the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholdersRequired Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant financial experienceTrack record that shows the ability to build sound financial practices in a cross functional environmentBring strong expertise in ACA Individual business; familiarity with ACA risk adjustment model and accrual forecastingAbility to design action driven financial reportingAnalytical capability to identify issues and develop creative solutionsPrior Management experience developing and training of staffCommunicate clearly and present appropriate level of information to senior leadersProfessional and executive presenceSetting strategy and driving resultsStrong leader in building teams, developing employees and hiring exceptional individualsPreferred Qualifications:

The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
