New York, NYThe Executive Director, Consumer Revenue Initiatives & Transformation will play a pivotal leadership role within the Condé Nast Consumer Revenue team. This position is designed to shape strategy, drive revenue growth, and enhance operational efficiency through resource and process improvements, with a particular focus on expanding the Consumer Revenue businesses, which includes subscriptions, memberships, and box continuity.
Reporting directly to the SVP, Consumer Revenue, the Executive Director will partner with the Consumer Leadership Team and cross-functional stakeholders to lead ongoing transformation initiatives. In addition, this role will identify and champion new projects that modernize and evolve our Consumer Revenue strategy and structure. The individual will be responsible for strategic growth initiatives alongside internal and external partners, working towards ambitious growth targets. With a deep understanding of the Consumer Revenue business lines, including subscriptions, memberships, and box continuity, the Executive Director will serve as a key representative for the SVP, Consumer Revenue, acting as a proxy when necessary.
Success in this role requires the ability to actively listen to the objectives of all functions and synthesize insights into a cohesive, actionable solution. The Executive Director must navigate a complex landscape, working creatively and collaboratively with diverse teams to drive alignment and deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the SVP, Consumer Revenue, to continuously assess the structure and processes of the Consumer Revenue team, ensuring alignment with both internal and external business needs.
Optimize and standardize operating procedures across Consumer Revenue leadership groups, fostering cohesive and efficient ways of working wherever possible
Organize, motivate, and collaborate with business stakeholders to determine the best way to re-engineer workstreams and processes; facilitate cross-functional decision-making needed to achieve Consumer Revenue goals
Work with SVP to build narratives and presentations that communicate strategy for internal and external purposes including: Executive Leadership Team Meetings, Board Meetings, partner presentations, etc.
Take ownership of key initiatives for the Consumer Revenue team, coordinating meetings for key projects across multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear agendas, follow-ups, and actionable next steps
Leverage a deep understanding of the media landscape, specifically within D2C businesses, to shape and scale business functions and workflows in priority markets
Play a critical role in driving integration-related projects that impact the Consumer Revenue team’s ability to meet its goal, including training, systems integrations, and process optimization
Serve as liaison between HR, Finance, and Consumer Revenue teams, ensuring structural alignment with strategy and leading on key projects or one-off initiatives
Champion change management efforts, applying best practices and tools to drive sustainable transformation and smooth adoption of new processes
Partner with the SVP’s Executive Assistant to prioritize tasks, streamline communications, plan events, offsites, and working sessions, and ensure the smooth execution of team meetings and projects
Maintain consistent momentum on key initiatives, ensuring progress is measured and aligned with strategic goals
Communicate Effectively — simplify complex issues, clearly communicate findings and recommendations, and provide actionable insights at all levels
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
7-10 years of relevant professional experience, with a background in marketing, media operations, creative strategy, advertising, sales, or account/project management
Experience in transformation initiatives is strongly preferred
Proven ability to think creatively and solve problems, with strong quantitative and strategic thinking skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
Excellent organizational abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and setting clear priorities under tight deadlines
Self-driven and a self-starter, with the ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
High energy and a strong teamwork mentality, with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals
The expected base salary range for this position is from $173,000-$208,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
