Title: Executive Director, Data Analytics & Reporting Location: Brisbane, California About Us: Vera Therapeutics (Nasdaq: VERA), is a late clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for serious immunological diseases. Position Summary: The Executive Director, Data Analytics & Reporting will report to the Vice President, Information Technology and drive Vera's vision for leveraging advanced analytics to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence across the organization. This leader will align with stakeholders on deliverables, key milestones and ensure that the Data Analytics & Reporting infrastructure meets the needs of the business in preparation for pre and post launch readiness. This role will monitor the performance of Data Analytics & Reporting services consumed by our business stakeholders and will collaborate with peer IT Senior Leadership team and vendor service delivery teams. Responsibilities: * Establish a vision and strategy for analytics and reporting initiatives that align with Vera's OKRs. * Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring delivery of actionable insights and impactful solutions across our Commercialization functions. * Champion a culture of innovation (e.g. AI/ML) , data-driven decision-making, and accountability. * Design and implement advanced analytics frameworks, including customer segmentation, predictive modeling, risk assessment and patient, HCP and product journey mapping. * Lead the team synthesizing data from multiple sources, including market research, secondary data, and real-world evidence, to generate robust insights that guide strategic and tactical decisions. * Partner with leaders across commercial operations, IT, marketing, market access, clinical, regulatory, finance, and sales to address complex business challenges and ensure alignment of analytics initiatives with organizational objectives. * Collaborate with medical affairs and clinical trial teams to enhance program effectiveness and optimize resource allocation. * Enable cloud technology and reporting platforms (Data Lake, Data Marts, Data Warehouse) to support analytics and reporting needs including executive and leadership dashboards, launch and KPI reporting. * Lead a wide range of Business System Data projects (e.g. Master Data Management, Data Stewardship, Agg. Spend/Sunshine Act Reporting, Supply Chain Analytics, Commercial Operations Reporting, Incentive Compensation, Medical Affairs Insights) * Recruit, mentor and retain top analytics talent, fostering a high-performance culture within the team. * Define and track clear goals, KPIs, and metrics to measure the impact of analytics initiatives and align with OKRs. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical guidelines in analytics practices. * Deliver sprint-based execution and continuous improvement for data products driven by clearly defined outcomes. * Develop a data governance capability to streamline priorities, manage product delivery and data investment decisions. Qualifications: * Minimum Bachelor's degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. * Minimum of 15 years of IT experience in positions of increasing responsibility, with a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience working at the intersection of Biotech, Data Analytics & Reporting, and Product Launch. * Enterprise Leader with a minimum of 15 + years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics, Data Science and Digital innovation. * Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also able to act decisively and tactically. * Strong project management skills and ability to work to deadlines successfully managing multiple business-driven data related initiatives. * Experience working in a compliance and regulated environment with GxP, HIPPA, GDPR, SOX and PHI data. * Practical experience with implementing and optimizing GenAI technologies in biotech or pharmaceutical industry. * An ability to listen and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. * Seven years of progressive leadership responsibilities spearheading data strategy with experience in agile engineering delivery methods. * Extensive experience implementing Data and Analytical solutions in Commercial Operations, Digital Marketing, Technical Operations, Medical Affairs, Clinical, R&D and G&A. For this role, the anticipated base pay range begins at $240,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geography, qualifications, skills, and experience. At Vera, base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and ongoing performance-based equity.
