Summary :The Executive Director, NEW Mental Health Connection provides strategic direction and operational leadership of the Northeastern Wisconsin Mental Health Connection (NEW MHC) that meets community and market needs. Leads a collaboration of community stakeholders to create and continuously improve an exceptional mental health system of care. Strives to promote a community culture that is mentally well and stigma-free. Cultivates a collaborative environment in the Fox Cities that connects community stakeholders and resources to improve the mental health of our communities. Incorporates an approach to behavioral health services that works across the continuum of behavioral health services to promote successful multidisciplinary programs that serve the needs of the communities we serve. Supports and promotes the mission, strategic vision, and values of the NEW MHC.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides strategic planning, program development, labor management, and overall operational administration of the department.
Effectively directs team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
Assists the NEW MHC Board with strategic planning, and works with the Board to establish and execute strategy.
Leads fundraising efforts including grants and donations.
Prepares grant proposals for new funding and monitors/administers secured grants including data collection, written reports, interviews, and fiscal management of restricted funds.
Leads recruitment and management of member relationships, striving for 100 percent membership of community mental health providers.
Exemplifies, communicates, and demonstrates the mission, role, philosophy, and organizational values of NEW MHC.
Is responsible for the development and implementation of a long-range strategic plan within the parameters of NEW MHC. Reviews annually the key elements and develops goals with appropriate action plans.
Maintains strong relationships with outside provider organizations, state/county agencies, and community-based providers, payers, academic institutions, consumers, law enforcement, schools, and other key stakeholders.
Leads and coordinates all committee activities to ensure committee success. Represents NEW MHC on designated committees and or boards.
Performs activities that may include provider relations, clinical/academic affiliations, marketing, consumer affairs, public relations, and community support.
Oversees contracts/agreements related to NEW MHC.
Promotes a learning environment for personal and professional development through the provision of opportunities for team members.
Participates in the marketing of services, and works with community stakeholders to seek and obtain funding that moves our community forward.
Actively participates in community, local, regional, and national professional organizations to maintain a current knowledge of behavioral health developments both locally and nationally.
Completes related assignments as requested by the NEW MHC Board of Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, hospital administration, business, or related field
Eight years of progressive responsibility in business, leadership, mental health, community building, or non-profit management
Five years of leadership experience to include leading teams and/or projects
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
