Position Summary:
To achieve Travere’s enterprise goal of establishing a pipeline of groundbreaking medicines for patients affected by rare diseases, we are opening a new position of Executive Director for New Product Planning. This ED for NPP will report to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for the strategic process of identifying, evaluating and developing new molecular entities (NMEs) within Travere and preparing the organization and the market for commercial access to patients of these NMEs. The role will focus on addressing high unmet medical needs in rare diseases by researching the commercial potential of drug candidates, evaluating their market viability, and creating a commercialization roadmap towards product launches consistent with Travere’s business objectives and projections. 

Responsibilities:

Works closely together with business development, medical, translational science, regulatory and CMC teams in bringing the commercial voice to decisions through market analysis and engagement with external stakeholdersAnalyzes current treatment options within prioritized rare nephrology and metabolic disease indications to identify areas where significant patient improvements are possibleConduct primary and secondary research to assess the commercial attractiveness of external innovation including US and international market sizing assessments, competitive landscape, target product profile development, and revenue forecast projectionsParticipates as a key member of the Business Development Diligence team by providing commercial input and insight in the assessment of target assets including market assessment, strategic fit, and resourcing needs  Drive cross-functional efforts to strategically shape Travere’s products to meet the needs of patients in finding the best path forward to commercialize our portfolioGuide program strategy and decision-making at all stages from search & evaluation and clinical development to ultimately launch; lead value creation through the commercialization roadmapSupport portfolio strategy to enable prioritization and resource allocationLead commercialization process and roadmap development through establishing market opportunity assessment, required target product profile (TPP), competitive tracking and creating the investment thesis for development projectsClosely collaborate with Corporate Strategy, Program Management and Finance teams to support detailed planning and budgeting


Education/Experience Requirements:   

Master’s  Degree in Business or Life Sciences discipline. Advanced degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and applicable experience may be consideredMinimally 15 years of experience resulting in a strong understanding of required commercial assessments for business development decisions and leading commercialization processes

No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$238,000.00 - $320,000.00
