Executive Director, Programs Office of Belonging and Inclusive Excellence
The University of Miami/UHealth department of Office of Belonging and Inclusive Excellence(OBIE) has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Executive Director, Programs to work Full Time at the UHealth Medical Campus.
Core Summary
The Executive Director, Programs (A) oversees program development in the areas of online education, integration of technology into the classroom, new revenue-generating undergraduate and graduate programs, and enrollment management. The Executive Director, Programs (A) creates and implements initiatives to support student affairs at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Core Responsibilities
Develops and cultivates relationships with other departments to coordinate program activities.
Works closely with faculty and senior program staff to help create long-term goals for existing programs.
Coordinates and directs seminars, conferences, workshops, and other events for the program.
Performs benchmarking studies for applicable programs.
Recruits, mentors, supervises, and evaluates subordinate staff members.
Advances and supervises the annual budgets for all assigned program areas.
Interprets and shares the impact of federal and state legislation on institutional programs.
Collects and organizes facts and data, performs analyzes, and prepares reports.
Serves as liaison to external agencies and organizations to further program goals and objectives.
Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessment, implements, and monitors controls.
Department Specific Functions
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Belonging and Inclusive Excellence (OBIE)and serving on the office’s team, the executive director will be expected to:
Serve as the universities Executive Director, Programs and lead a significant expansion of belonging and inclusive excellence efforts.
Shape a new OBIE strategic plan that is currently being crafted and builds on the momentum of recent years;
Provide expert consultation, resources, and innovative strategies to help the college integrate belonging and inclusive excellence into all aspects of the university
Collaborate with other leaders across the enterprise to share best practices, coordinate efforts, and guide the complex organization toward a more inclusive future.
Manage OBIE budget
Supervise Director, Programs

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Phd or EdD in Education preferred. Master’s Degree in relevant field
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
