Doctorate degree preferred. Seven years of senior level administrative experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or experience in a related field. Experience in providing academic or educational support services directly to students through teaching, student support, or other areas of professional service. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience. Nature & Purpose of Position Provide administrative support and leadership for the campus and programs at the Sam Houston State University Center at The Woodlands. Primary Responsibilities Provides administrative support and leadership to the campus and programs. Serves as the liaison with the local community, the university partners, and other institutions and programs that use the facility and services. Works with the academic deans at the main campus to ensure that the campus is in compliance with University and System policies. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the center. Coordinates the implementation of support services. Coordinates selection, training, and supervision of all campus staff. Coordinates scheduling of classes for SHSU and partner universities. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Academic decisions remain the responsibility of the respective academic deans on the main campus. Must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with internal and external agencies.
