Executive Director, DPACS
Seeking a highly visible and impactful leader to provide oversight of Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS), based out of West Chester, Pennsylvania. With an operating budget of $73 million, DPACS offers a full continuum of mental health, intellectual disabilities, and autism treatment and education programs for children.
This key position is responsible for ensuring that quality programming, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, organizational development/fundraising activities, and anticipated needs of internal and external customers are met. Also, key to this position is driving strategic vision, the development of a positive work environment, as a servant leader, to attract and retain a stable progressive, caring and diverse workforce, needed to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services. The Executive Director will oversee the development and implementation of strategies to address changing markets and assist in the implementation of positive consumer and community awareness programs and activities. Services are provided in a variety of locations in Southeast PA.

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services center supports children, adolescents and young adults, from birth age 21, with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and intensive services for at-risk youth living with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences. Our individualized, positive approaches to care enables the individuals we serve to lead socially-connected, meaningful and productive lives.
Each year, nearly 2,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each individual with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their homes, schools and communities.

Create a vision, plan and implementation strategy, aligned with Devereux’s mission and vision.Manage implementation of new programs and services.Identify business opportunities for organizational growth to enhance financial strength and contribution margin, as well as create non-operating revenue.Implement long-term revenue, cost and donor strategies that align with corporate objectives.Create a culture and systems that capitalize on the diversity of our employees, that will attract, develop and retain the best employees.Ensure training is provided that meets regulatory and agency requirements, and strategically supports internal development of employees at all levels to address future business needs.Influence business practices and policy by creating new ventures.Possess expert knowledge of current and future cost drivers in the industry.Work collaboratively with Devereux’s senior leadership, as well as with internal and external stakeholders.For consideration or questions, please contact:

Our Ideal Candidate:
Master’s degree in education, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Business Administration or other related field.Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a senior level management role with Devereux or a comparable organization, overseeing the delivery of residential, community-based programs and behavioral health programs.Strong administrative, programmatic, analytic, financial, and operational experience in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skillsHave a strong understanding of Trauma Informed Care, Servant Leadership, and PBIS (or similar) principles.Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
