This position is responsible for managing and supervising the financial, programmatic, operational, marketing, and all other business functions of the Assisted Living community.  This position is ultimately responsible for 24/7 oversight of community operations.  This position is for communities of 200+ units.

Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park Senior Living is conveniently located off the light rail transit station, close to the metro bus, and near the University of Minnesota campus in vibrant Minneapolis, MN.  The Pillars of Prospect Park features Independent, assisted living and memory care in their two buildings making up this vibrant community.  The community also encompasses an Intergenerational on-site Child Care Center.  Come join our team of dedicated employees who share in our mission to help our seniors heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, more meaningful lives.

 

Responsibilities/Job Description

Creates and maintains a high performing leadership team within the community: 

Develops performance and operational goals with department directors Provides on-going support to and encourages professional development of the department directors Assesses directors’ performance and provides regular feedback.  Addresses performance issues promptly and effectively.  Promotes staff understanding of the roles they play in the accomplishment of the goals of the community and provides supportive feedback on a regular basis Conducts &/or ensures completion of accurate scheduling and payroll activities for employees.  

 

Monitors financial performance: 

Develops annual budget and monitors monthly activity Supports department directors with developing budget and financial goals Meets monthly with department directors to review financial performance and assure budget compliance Reviews and monitors monthly financial statements with Ebenezer Corporate office Plans and implements changes in strategy of generating revenue &/or managing expenses in response to current financial performance 

Oversees monthly billing process for residents/tenants 

Issues resident/tenant statements with accuracy Answers billing questions from residents/tenants/responsible parties Collects and tracks resident/tenant payments Completes bank deposits Provides complete and timely information to accounting department 

Establishes and supports an environment conducive to the provision of quality services and high-level customer satisfaction: 

Is highly engaged with residents and families Meets regularly with appropriate tenant/resident committees Responds effectively to resident or family concerns including managing the grievance resolution process Routinely conducts and/or reviews satisfaction surveys Consistently demonstrates excellent customer service and holds all employees to the same Develops and implements QAPI program to ensure quality of care and risk management activities are in play Oversees the hiring, onboarding, training and overall employee experience of staff at the site Oversight of employee training compliance with regulations and Ebenezer policies.  Acts as liaison for ownership if in a managed community, interacting with them verbally and in writing, ensuring they are kept up to date with the current status of the building operationally and financially in a predetermined cadence and as needed in between.  

Supports the development of a sales and marketing plan and other programs aimed at sustaining strong occupancy/ census goals: 

Supports sales and marketing staff in the development and implementation of effective sales and marketing strategies Monitors and drives strategy surrounding occupancy/census data  Monitors customer satisfaction levels and follow- up quality improvement initiatives  

Monitors the maintenance of the building and grounds and provides feedback/direction to appropriate staff as necessary 

 

Ensures that the community is in compliance with all applicable state and federal rules and regulations 

Manages compliance with Department of Health AL regulations and all other governmental bodies (ex: OSHA, DOL, etc).  Manages survey process end-to-end for standard and complaint surveys conducted by Health Department officials. 

 

Performs other duties as assigned and directed.

Qualifications

Required:

Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) or Licensed Health Services Executive (LHSE)Bachelor’s Degree in Senior Housing, Business or related field

Must meet one of the options below:

1. Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) or Licensed Health Services Executive (LHSE) by BELTSS Board

2. Meets requirements for Assisted Living Director – In Residence (ALD-IR) by obtaining a permit from BELTSS as an ALD-IR within 30-days of hire date and have experience in the management of an AL or related facility or must be enrolled in a BELTSS approved program within six (6) months of permit issuance (Refer to MN Rule 6400.7080B). Required to graduate from approved program, complete the field experience and pass the examinations within one year of hire date.

 

 

Preferred: 

3-5 years of experience
