Overview The Phelps Residence Inn Downtown Cincinnati is seeking an Executive Housekeeping Manager with strong Leadership abilities, great organizational skills, enjoys thinking outside of the box and is able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies/synergies across the network. The Executive Housekeeping Manager will: Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline, conduct performance reviews, and counsel team members accordingly Coordinate with HR for staffing needs within the department, conducting interviews when applicable Coordinate with GM and the Director of Engineering in the repair and maintenance program as it relates to guests rooms and public areas Maintain inventory of all guest rooms and housekeeping supplies including all month end inventories Maintain Lost & Found log Purchase all basic cleaning supplies, linen and equipment ETC. Monitor and control Housekeeping budget throughout the year and balance department checkbook Prepare schedules, reports, and ensure proper staffing levels based on hotel's occupancy The ability to hold all team members accountable when applicable, communicating with HR the steps of corrective action that is needed if applicable Insure property operations meet all internal audit standards such as: Marriott Standards, Pyramid Global Standards, Health Department Etc Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards and promotes team member empowerment Schedule and conduct departmental meetings on a monthly basis Report unsafe conditions immediately to GM/AGM/HR Maintain good working relationship with other departments within the hotel Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years experience in Supervisory/Management/Assistant Housekeeping position preferred. Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
