Executive Pastry Chef

An Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while planning production and developing seasonal offerings.

What will I be doing?

\n

As an Executive Pastry Chef, you are responsible for operating the pastry and bakery department of the hotel. While working closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to deliver seeming less operation and an excellent Guest experience. The Executive Pastry Chef will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nResponsible for the pastry and bakery kitchen and its production of the hotel and its restaurants, banquet and events.\nDeliver culinary excellence throughout all menu and operations with focus on seasonality and product quality meet guest expectations.\nFamiliar with latest market trends in his field and able to elevate the menu offerings \nSupervise and coordinate all pastry and bakery production, presentation and decoration \nPlan production and labor required aligned with business levels\nGuide and foster the team to excel within our Hilton guidelines. \nControl Food Cost to be in line with budget by forecasting production and seasonal approach\nDevelop and execute hotels amenity program\nEnsure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations\n

\n\nExperience and knowledge in a similar role and operation for a minimum of 3 years\nFamiliar with latest market trends and product innovations\nStrong supervisory skills and able to work with local work force\nA current, valid, and relevant trade qualification (proof may be required)\nPositive attitude and grooming standards\nGood communication skills and able to understand social media and current trends in hospitality \nCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service and culinary excellence \nExcellent planning and organising skills\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nRelevant qualifications for role\nAbility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings\nProficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook\n\n
