• Ensure the overall safety and security of designated Principals, including monitoring security systems (alarms, cameras, etc.) and identifying security risks.
• Provide close protection to Principals at various venues, events, business meetings, off-site assignments, etc.
• Control access to properties and maintain security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.
• Drive Principals to various locations, ensuring safe and secure transportation operations.
• Perform advance work for routes, venues, and primarily domestic travel.
• Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance of all protective equipment, including vehicles, medical supplies, and communication devices.
• Respond to and mitigate threats or emergencies, including engaging in defensive tactics as needed to protect the Principal.
• Detect and report suspicious activity, security vulnerabilities, and potential threats, collaborating with intelligence teams, law enforcement, and other security professionals.
• Conduct site surveys and assess security systems at various locations, ensuring readiness for high-risk events or travel.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide customer-service-focused
communication with the Principal, staff, coworkers, and third-party vendors.
• Adapt to various tasks outside of traditional security roles, including providing support in social settings and maintaining a positive attitude in diverse situations.
• Participate in special assignments, including surveillance detection and emergency response operations as needed.
• Assist with physical security upgrade projects, as needed
• Maintain detailed records, including incident reports, expense receipts, and clocking in/out for work shifts.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Executive Protection.
• Prior military or law enforcement experience providing physical security, emergency response, surveillance detection, and secure transportation.
• CA Guard Card and CA Exposed Firearm Permit (Issued by BSIS) required. Possess a CCW permit.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with strong emotional intelligence and critical thinking under pressure.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing, U.S. Passport, and pass a pre-employment background investigation.
• Must be capable of maintaining physical fitness to stand for long periods, engage in physically demanding tasks, and sustain extended shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Principals, staff, and vendors.
• Willing to submit to random drug screenings and comply with post-accident testing requirements.
• Comfortable in various social settings, with the ability to engage and influence others positively and professionally.
• Must be adaptable to working irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all settings.
• Experience in de-escalating or actively engaging in situations that pose a threat to the Principal’s safety.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other security teams, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement.
Scope of Work:
• Operates with a high level of discretion and independence, making critical decisions in real-time.
• Responsible for protecting the Principal's safety across various locations and events, ensuring their security is maintained at all times.
• Regularly interacts with key stakeholders across the organization and outside partners to ensure seamless protective operations.
Desirables:
• Possess a 4 year college degree in a related field
• Prior certification from an Executive Protection training program.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$66,560.00 - $88,200.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
