Description

Summary:

The Executive Protection Senior Specialist assists the Executive Protection Manager in leading the EP team and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Executive Protection movements. The Executive Protection Senior Specialist is the primary armed close-in protection agent to the CEO or other VIP designees. They use advanced professional knowledge to analyze, interpret or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. They exercise independent thought and creativity to develop plans for all trips, events and off-site meetings, assisting the EP Manager with any advance coordination as required.  The Executive Protection Senior Specialist serves as the daily liaison between ELT and their executive admins for all logistical planning, applying specialized intellectual learnings on threat management. They require the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment to conduct covert investigations, threat research and residential physical security assessments for ELT , and must be able to independently adapt security plans and preparations ‘on the fly’ to a dynamic and evolving threat environment to ensure the principals’ safety, security, and confidentiality. They exercise advanced knowledge from a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction to collect and analyze pertinent intelligence from local and national intelligence sources. The Executive Protection Senior Specialist travels domestically to support CEO and requires 24/7 availability to the Principal.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specialized Armed Protection Agent and SME Intelligence AnalystExercises independent judgment responding to potential threatsPerforms protective advance planning and threat vulnerability assessmentsTransports the Principal and/or family members to events and appointments, using specialty training/evasive and/or defensive driving tactics, as neededEffectively manages the Principal and/or their family/representative requests against the need to ensure all safety and security precautionsResponds to emergencies and coordinates with first responders to perform medical and police operations, as neededDeescalates tense situations or individuals that arise at the client residence and/or eventsActs upon and communicates vulnerabilities or safety concerns in a timely mannerCompletes suspicious activity reports, incident reports. shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative requirementsEnsures vehicle is in clean and safe operating conditions at all timesAssists with protection schedules and team assignmentsOperates and maintains protective, operations, and communications equipment.Conducts independent research to gather, analyze, or evaluate information from a variety of sources, such as law enforcement databases, surveillance, intelligence networks or geographic information systemsUse intelligence data to anticipate and prevent criminal activities, such as terrorismOn a daily basis, studies activities related to personal and perceived threats against the Principal or other national security threats against the businessDesign, use, and maintain databases and software applications, such as geographic information systems (GIS) mapping and artificial intelligence toolsGathers intelligence information by field observation, confidential information sources, or public recordsAnalyzes, correlates, and evaluate information from a variety of resources, such as law enforcement databasesPrepares comprehensive written reports, presentations, maps, or charts based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence dataConducts and assists in external and internal investigations and counter-surveillance operations as directed by manager to support case buildingEnsures proper preparation, maintenance and retention of all reports, evidence, files and records in accordance with company guidelines and local jurisdictionReviews data reporting to identify external patternsTestifies in criminal proceedings when requiredDevelops and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external business partners, local officials and agencies; work to develop relationships with asset protection industry investigators. Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma10+ years practical security experience (military, law enforcement, intelligence, private security)2+ years of close protection or executive protection experience, preferably in a dignitary or diplomatic environmentLEOSA permit to carry a concealed firearm (HR 218)Valid Driver’s License
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's DegreeEMT experience Private sector EP experience Possess (or have the ability to obtain) an Armed Security Officer Certification in accordance with FAA regulationsHave the legal right to work in the United StatesFluent in English as a first languageAbility to pass a background check, psychological exam, and other assessments as requiredExperience using Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with Microsoft and Apple/Mac Operating SystemAbility to meet the established physical demands required to successfully perform the essential functions of this jobArmed Security officer (ASO) certification ASIS PSP or CPP certification preferred, or other Dignitary and Executive Protection certification/accreditation such as IADELSTAbility to work autonomous, domestic and internationalAbility to maintain composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situationsPrevious exposure to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized areaRapid and effective decision-making during unusual or emergency situationsPossess (or have the ability to obtain) an Armed Security Officer Certification in accordance with FAA regulationsAbility to pass a background check, psychological exam, and other assessments as requiredAbility to effectively communicate security-related concepts/concerns to all levels of personnel;General knowledge of relevant laws and regulations that govern the protection of information security and physical assetsProven ability to apply sound judgment and use discretion when dealing with sensitive informationMust maintain professional personal appearance and physical fitness, suit (no tie) is the daily uniformExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication (both written and oral) skillsA graduate of a reputable executive protection training schoolManagerial experience
