Our Fortune 200 company is seeking an Executive Protection Specialist to join our Global Security team. This position requires prior experience in law enforcement or executive protection and preferably comes with experience in providing driving and close protection for executives, dignitaries, senior officials, and other VIP’s. This role will be based in New York, NY. This is a full time, onsite, permanent role.
The primary responsibility of the Executive Protection Specialist is the safe and timely transportation of company Executive Committee Members and other senior staff.
We will count on you to:
Provide safe operation of vehicle and compliance with all motor vehicle regulation and traffic lawsProper utilization of navigation tools such as Waze, and Google maps.Provide armed protection for the safety and security of passengersProvide timely pick-up and drop-off of executives, and other company officials to and from their destinationsWhen not performing driving assignments, relieve Executive Protection Agents/Officers on the executive floor, 35th floor, and building lobby when required.When not driving, perform security patrols of the building at large to include the building perimeter, and plaza to ensure a safe environment for the building property.When not driving, provide security coverage for off-site events such as the Board of Director’s meetings, Executive Committee off site dinners and luncheons, and similar events.When not driving, work with the Global Security Department in the investigation of thefts and other incidents on company propertiesExhibit courteous and professional behavior and demeanor; meeting and greeting passengers; confirming or ascertaining destinations; and assistance with belongingsUtilize knowledge of local streets and traffic patterns to avoid heavy traffic and detours.Maintain appropriate and accurate recordkeeping (further defined in the EPS Standard Operations Procedures)Monitor and manage appearance and maintenance of the company-provided vehicle (cleaning and repair services, oil changes, etc.), including annual inspections & other requirements.Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are inspected and maintained and that the vehicle interior is always kept clean.Conduct Risk Assessments of locations unfamiliar to protection staff, or deemed high risk, high crimes areas.Conduct advance reviews, either virtually, through the Global Security Intelligence Desk, or on site to mitigate any safety and security risks for the CEO, EC, or other senior staff being transported by EPS membersBe willing to provide close protection for Executive travel both nationally and internationally.Take direction from Executive and Executive's Assistant’s on travel plans.Maintain the strictest confidentiality regarding information heard directly or indirectly.Keep a constant professional appearance and communication with vehicle occupants.Maintain a superior driving record and always operate the vehicle with the utmost safety in mind, adhering to all state and local motor vehicles laws.Keep updated records of all business trips including receipts, mileage, and hours logged (further defined in the EPS SOP)You will be required to obtain and maintain AED/CPR certification.You will be required to garage vehicle whenever possible during non-working hours at Headquarters or residential locations.What you need to have:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Law Enforcement capacity preferred, which can be supplemented with corporate security experience.Offensive and defensive driving course certifications preferred.ASO Certification will be required once onboarded.Have a clean driving record.Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, assertiveness, and self-motivation along with intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude.Ability to work in a corporate environment and present one-self with professionalism, good presentation skills, assertiveness, and dedication to complete tasks.Experience in the collection and analysis of threat intelligence information preferred.Carry and use firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency will be required. Be a lawful resident of the United States.Leadership skills that include professional business ethics, assertiveness, and self-motivation along with intellectual curiosity, a positive attitude, and self-motivation.Successful passing of the company’s background investigation.Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.What makes you stand out:
