As a key member of the International Risk Management team, the Underwriter will contribute to the achievement of profitability and production results through the growth, development, and underwriting of Risk Management Programs for U.S. multinational companies and organizations. In addition, this position is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients, as well as internal support groups, including, but not limited to actuaries, legal and Global Services. Manage assigned renewal book for best-in-class execution in order to ensure industry leading renewal retention.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development & Broker Management – Utilize and develop personal and business relationships with P&C brokers and producers to produce new account opportunities for the International Risk Management Segment within Chubb Multinational. Work closely with actuaries, legal, claims and Global Services to deliver superior service and program execution to our most sophisticated and challenging Risk Management Clients. Quote to Win – Review new business submissions to understand the nature of the international casualty risk as wells as the incumbent’s current offering - utilize this analysis to produce and deliver winning quotes. Service Brokers and Clients to Grow – Work with brokers and clients to understand and respond to evolving client needs driven by international market expansion and acquisition or through changes in geographic footprint and program structure. Effectively manage a complex renewal book with little supervision. Ability to manage timelines & deliveries for the most complex Multinational Programs. Demonstrated record of ownership of renewal book and high renewal retention.REQUIREMENTS:
College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years casualty experience, preferably international casualty and/or underwriting Fortune 500 companies. Experience with Risk Management structures is preferred (Captives, Deductibles and Retros).Familiarity with all casualty lines (Auto, GL, and ERC) and preferably familiarity with International Coverage Extensions. Detailed knowledge of casualty coverage forms.Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirable including knowledge of deductible, captive and retro structures.Superior communication, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiating skills. Demonstrated ability of having worked with large Fortune 500 Risk Managers.Superior analytical skills needed to analyze and structure complex Risk Management solutions for Multinational Clients. Demonstrated working experience with actuarial analysis and working with legal on manuscript policy forms.Excellent sales, marketing, and negotiation skillsAdvanced computer skills preferred including Excel, Power Point, Word as well as underwriting systems.The pay range for the role is $114,600 to $194,800. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
