Located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and near TCU in the award-winning school district, Burleson ISD which also provides a low-cost of living.

The role you’ll contribute:

Provides the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department, and different programs within the hospital, a knowledgeable component of exercise physiology. The job holder performs exercise stress testing, exercise leadership and counseling for all phases of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

· Employee displays the ability to effectively perform all testing, exercise leadership and documentation in a professional and effective manner.

· Performs all technical skills during exercise sessions and records all pertinent data (HR, BP, ECG change, RPE responses, symptoms, etc.).

· Teaches and counsels patients about coronary risk factor modification, exercises benefits, etc.

· Accurately completes discharge planning and instruction of home exercise program for each patient.

· Assists rehab coordinator with developing and maintaining Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab programs.

· Employee demonstrates the ability to work with the Rehabilitation Nurse to implement the Phase III/IV Rehabilitation program in a professional and effective manner.

· Oversees the developing and maintaining of the Phase III/IV maintenance program.

· Conducts initial assessments such as body fat, blood pressure, 12 lead ECG, etc.

· Develops and updates exercise prescription.

· Consistently updates participant progress through daily entries on records.

· Provides continuous education and growth for the participants.

· Creates an environment that facilitates support among participants and staff both during class time and through scheduled group sessions.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

Masters or Bachelors Degree in the area of Exercise Physiology with emphasis on exercise testing, exercise prescription, and exercise leadership for both healthy and special populations.

At least three months involvement in the areas of exercise testing, exercise prescription, and exercise leadership. The three months may have been obtained either during school or employment.
