Exercise Physiologist Inova Loudoun

+++We need someone with relevant clinical experience as a Cardiac or Pulmonary Exercise Physiologist or clinical experience from an educational program focused on Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab. +++

The Exercise Physiologist 1 works on a multidisciplinary team to care for patients and develop comprehensive care plans of agreed-upon goals. Administers or supports diagnostics testing to support diagnosis and treatment plans and participates in a community effort to support chronic disease management. May include evaluating patient responses to prescribed treatment plans, testing, and procedures and developing ongoing plans. 

Schedule: Full time, M-F, 40 hours a week.

Job Responsibilities:

 

Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.Reviews and develops Individual Treatment Plans.Develops exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes.Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.May perform additional duties as assigned.



Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology

Experience: Relevant clinical experience as a Cardiac or Pulmonary Exercise Physiologist or clinical experience from an educational program focused on Cardiac or Pulmonary RehabCertification: BLS; ACLS; or must have within 6 months of hireTraining: CV technology or equivalent combination of education and experience or within three months of hire. Training in telemetry monitoring or within 3 months of hire (Cardiac Rehab only)
