Job Description: Exhibit and Interactive Technician

Ripley Entertainment is seeking a talented individual to assist with the production and repair of interactive exhibits for our numerous attractions. Whether it's fixing an animatronic figure, setting up a 30 ft. Ferris wheel made from erector sets, or programming electronics for custom interactives, this role promises excitement and variety.  The position is based at Ripley Entertainment's headquarters in Orlando, Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair interactive exhibits, including diagnosing and handling mechanical, electrical, and computer issues.Assist in the development and fabrication of new interactive exhibits and prototypes.Help with the installation and removal of temporary and permanent exhibits, with some travel required.Follow proper safety procedures when using tools and equipment and be comfortable in a shop setting.Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of basic electronic concepts, mechanical skills, and familiarity with hand and power tools.Familiarity with PC and/or Mac operating systems and applications.Ability to follow safety and security procedures when handling and storing electronic components, interactive exhibits, and computer equipment.Self-starter who can work well with others in demanding and stressful situations, with minimal supervision.Physical agility, good vision, and manual dexterity required to move, operate, and make minor repairs to equipment. Ability to lift 60 lbs.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in museums, family entertainment centers, or theme parks is helpful but not required.Mid-level computer skills, including knowledge of utility components like phidget boards and raspberry pi.Ability to read schematics and/or floor plans.Understanding of audio/visual connections and components.
