The Expediter is responsible for planning, scheduling, and materials availability for multiple Value Streams at our plant in Auburn, AL. This position is critical to the success of our customers and to enabling the Value Stream to achieve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established for Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost (SQDC). Strong analytical capability, troubleshooting, exceptional communication skills, and effective use of the Regal Business System (RBS) tools to continually improve our processes and the team’s performance is necessary to be successful in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned. 

Work with Planning and scheduling so that production activities for different Value Streams to determine and ultimately meet our Expedited or Promise Dates to customers.Work closely with all of our departments to ensure on-time delivery of components and assemblies.Work closely with Supervisors and schedulers to ensure the deployment of direct labor will enable successful execution of the production plan.Work closely with centralized functions including Sales, Customer Service, Sourcing, Quality, and Shipping to ensure all customer needs are addressed and Promise Dates are met.Work through Operations mailboxes and Salesforce cases to manage inquiries from outside of the facility.Work closely with Sales and Customer care to be the liaison for our facility and the outside.Drive sense of urgency and effective problem-solving to identify root cause and build sustainable countermeasures to meet KPIs.Responsible for tracking On Time Delivery metrics for Expedited orders.Responsible for Tracking Voice of the Customer issues and notifying the team of the issues.Manage rescheduling of orders based on communications with the customer or customer care.Utilize the Regal Rexnord Business System methodology to continuously improve our processes; via Daily Management and by participating in Kaizen events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.3 years of experience in scheduling or production planning preferred3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.Experience working in a Quality Management System preferred (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100)Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience preferred (e.g., SAP)Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
