Who are we?
I’m currently recruiting for an international company in the Flemish region who are actively involved in the offshore wind energy transition sector in Belgium.
Who are we looking for?
• In possession of an EU work permit / EU nationality. (no visa/work permit sponsorship is available for this position)
• You can demonstrate at least 5 years of relevant experience within a purchasing and especially an expediting (logistics) environment.
• You are proactive, communicative and analytical.
• You have technical training or experience
• You speak (preferably Dutch) and have a very good knowledge of English.
• You have a strong personality with a results-oriented focus.
• You are a team player.
What will you do?
• You are the point of contact for the logistics and purchasing related activities of the projects.
• You are responsible for managing, supporting and coordinating all tasks surrounding expediting to enable JIT deliveries related to the project.
• You ensure that purchase orders are delivered to the right place and in accordance with agreements at the right time and place.
• You are responsible for the entire expediting process: drawing up the schedule for the JIT deliveries, discussing the schedule with the various suppliers, checking the goods at suppliers, calling for the goods, checking the goods upon delivery.
• You go one step further and follow up on planning and quality checks after delivery so that projects can be delivered on time.
• You communicate daily with the Procurement Manager and other members of the project team (Engineering, Quality and Project Management) about progress, agreements, possible risks and problems.
• You check, register and process all delivery dates to ensure timely and correct implementation of the project.
• You check all deliveries and ensure correct administrative handling.
• You develop reports and forecasts to support the project team with information.
• You participate in project meetings.
• You work closely with the Procurement Manager to purchase the necessary goods.
• You report to the Procurement Director
• You negotiate and work out delivery schedules with suppliers.
• You are responsible for monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.
