POSITION: ExpeditorFUNCTION: Supply Chain
Contract Position: Expected duration 10 months
POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Expeditor assists the Buyers in purchasing activities in support of production and company’s operation requirements. Success in the role includes a positive and proactive approach to daily work along with strong communication and organizational skills.REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to the Procurement ManagerDUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
Management and maintenance of Suppliers with activities related to selection, forecasting, monitoring performance, and supplier corrective actions Manage purchase order actions (reschedules / cancels / expedites / confirmations / supplier exceptions / closing short shipments) Manage quarantine items and returns to suppliers (supplier quality, ensuring credits are received, react to receiving issues & discrepancies, disposition NCRs) Manage contract adherence Involved in resolving Accounts Payable, credit holds and payment terms issues as it applies to supplier deliveries and invoicesFollow up on Past Due & Pending Promised Date ordersUpdate suppliers promise date in ERPMonitor, track, and provide feedback to accurately communicate the PO Status to CFT (Customer Focus Team)Send request for Priority ReceivingSupport PO price update in ERP following instructionMay require supporting Buyer to quote for material shortages and check for stock availabilityAssist Buyer on material escalations with procurement manager or director of supply chainSupport on resolving receiving issuesAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:
Strong English communications skills, both written and verbalProficiency in operating a computer including using a Windows based operating systems and related softwareIntermediate knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, data filters, pivot tables etc.)Superior organizational and administrative skillsGood attitude, willing to learn, and follow instructionsOrganized, self-motivated team player, able to work well under pressure Attention to detail and thorough follow through skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilitiesWORKING ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel office equipment, objects, tools, or controls. Working Conditions
The working environment is generally clean; however, this position may be exposed to occasional dust, metals/solder occasional exposure to high noise levels from operating machines or physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts. The employee must wear designated PPE where required. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate.
