Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Expediter (Expo)/Runner is responsible for keeping the communication flowing between FOH and BOH and being the final link between the food and the Guest. The individual must ensure the Guest’s order is picture perfect and correct, adhering to all specifications per management. This is a Full Time Seasonal or Part Time Seasonal opportunity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for ensuring orders are completed to guest satisfaction and the Executive Chef’s specifications. Reporting any long ticket times or misfires to management. Monitor prepared menu items to determine if standards are being obtained. Report any discrepancies to Executive Chef/Restaurant Manager Monitor the adherence to kitchen safety and sanitation procedures. Keep open communication with the Back of the House to meet server needs. Communicate with manager/hostess in ticket times to ensure that restaurant flow is smooth and does not lead to long ticket times. Communicates any large tables from host stand to culinary team during service. Finalize Guest orders by topping trays with proper share plates, steak knives, condiments, etc. Prepare To-Go orders to the guest specifications. Keeps to-go area stocked, neat, and clean. Communicates all stock levels to restaurant manager. Responsible for a clean and stocked work area, including the organization of all silver, china, and glass. Polishes silverware during any down time. Responsible for organizing the service side of the kitchen line to ensure food preparation are completed and presented to standard. Responsible for serving hot food hot and cold food cold. Qualifications Must have an extensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and restaurant promotions to accurately manage the needs of the guest Must be a strong communicator between the front of the house team and the culinary team. Knowledge of both service and food production is recommended. May assist in preparing, verifying, and/or delivering amenities for guest arrivals. Supports an atmosphere that is fun and inviting, yet polished and professional.
