Expense Reporting Specialist

Troon Corporate headquarters located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Expense Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of expense management systems.

Essential Duties:

Expense Report Processing: Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Policy Enforcement: Ensure adherence to company expense policies and flag any discrepancies or violations. System Management: Assist in maintaining and updating the expense reporting system, including user setup, system configurations, and troubleshooting issues. Training and Support: Provide training and support to employees on expense report submission and policy compliance. Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of expense reports to verify compliance and identify potential areas for improvement. Reconcile expense accounts and resolve discrepancies. Reporting: Generate and analyze expense reports to provide insights and recommendations to management. Prepare monthly expense summaries and distribute them to internal stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of employee expense reports. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the expense reporting function. Perform other duties as required.

Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in expense reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or a similar finance role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in expense management systems (e.g., Dynamics F&O, Concur, Expensify) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policies and procedures clearly. Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with process improvement and automation in expense management. Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics F&O, SAP, Oracle).
