We are seeking an experienced and passionate UX Researcher who loves learning about user needs, turning those learnings into insights that guide product designs, and tracking outcomes that tell client impact stories. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a well-rounded researcher who can help stakeholders turn abstract requests into meaningful research questions. You will need a strong collaboration spirit and be able to quickly design and turnaround high-quality research.
**Essential duties and responsibilities:**
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
+ Identify, define, and prioritize user research opportunities through collaboration with stakeholders and other researchers.
+ Plan and conduct user research studies with appropriate methods, including moderated and unmoderated usability tests, interviews, surveys, click tests, card sorts, tree tests, pilot/beta evaluations, concept tests, co-design methods, and others.
+ Analyze research data with appropriate techniques, including quantitative statistical analyses, qualitative theme analyses, and others.
+ Summarize research findings and action items for stakeholders with appropriate consideration for limitations in the research methods, design constraints, implications to clients and the business, and other factors.
+ Establish processes for fast and effective testing through coordination with stakeholders, researchers, and vendors.
+ Track outputs and outcomes and communicate research impact.
+ Collaborate with other researchers to ensure high quality research, improve team processes, grow each other’s skills, and foster a great working environment.
**Required Qualifications:**

+ BS with 6 years or MS degree with 3 years' experience in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, other related field or equivalent work experience.
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the role of an experience design researcher.
+ Strong knowledge of research techniques and the understanding of when to use what technique to ensure validity of data collected when conducting research with human participants. Extensive knowledge of experimental design to ensure bias is not introduced in the conducting of user research.
+ Track record of conducting research complex projects and delivering transformative insights. Experience representing and evangelizing user research to business partners.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in User Experience (UX), Psychology, Human Factors, Sociology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field involving experimental research.
+ Experience with a variety of research methods, such as qualitative and quantitative, moderated and unmoderated, generative and evaluative, etc.
+ Experience tracking research outputs and outcomes, as well as communicating impact
+ Experience managing research team processes, such as recruiting participants, overseeing vendor relationships, maintaining team documentation, or others.
+ Experience with usability testing and survey platforms, such as dscout, UserZoom, UserTesting.com, Optimal Workshop, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or others.
+ Experience working in agile design environments.
+ Experience working in banking or financial services industries.
