Experienced Aviation Engineer
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity available for a highly motivated Experienced Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation team at our Sioux Falls, SD office. Responsibilities include: Designing and leading aviation engineering projects Evaluating and analyzing existing projects Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits Leading proactive client interactions and communications with aviation clients Performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews Serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff Serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects A valid driver’s license, the ability to pass a background check for badging at airports, and some travel will be required. The successful candidate must have all the following: A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university At least 4 years of relevant work experience PE license in the state of South Dakota, or the ability and willingness to become registered within 3 months of hire The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following: Familiarity with FAA Standard Specifications Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Design Standards Experience with Airport Engineering Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
