Experienced Civil Engineer - Federal Aviation Projects
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking an Experienced Civil Engineer to join our collaborative and innovative Aviation team on military and federal projects. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required. This position is available as a remote or hybrid position at any of our Mead & Hunt offices nationwide. Responsibilities include: Designing and leading military and federal aviation engineering projects Experience with aviation and federal site design is preferred Evaluating and analyzing existing projects Preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits Leading proactive client interactions, marketing and communications with federal aviation clients Performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews Serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff; and serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects The successful candidate must have all the following: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university At least five years of relevant work experience PE license in any state with ability to obtain a PE license within six months of start date Experience with military and/or federal projects The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil3D design software Leading the development of plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, and submittal packages for military projects SpecsIntact software PCASE software Project QA/QC including leading design reviews Preparing scopes, fees, and contracts Client management and marketing Mentoring project staff Project management If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, proactive, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers Mead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.
