Job Description

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Jumbo Operators to join one of our two mine sites. Enjoy an even time, family friendly 7 on / 7 off roster that provides the perfect work-life balance!

As an experienced Jumbo Operator, you'll safely and efficiently operate Jumbo development drills to mine headings and install ground support as per mine standards. Bring your expertise, professionalism, and teamwork to deliver safe, high-quality results on time and on budget.

Ensure all headings bored are mined online and to grade. Working accurately, with minimum overbreak. Making sure that all headings mined comply with standards. Mentor style approach and teamwork. Lead by example and fulfil all job responsibilities competently. Perform all work and associated functions safely. 

QualificationsFull and current driver licence and confidence driving manual vehicles over rough terrainCurrent First Aid Certificate       A minimum of 8 years underground mining experience, 2 of which operating a JumboAbility to install bolts and mesh and bore headingsProven experience operating Sandvik Jumbo DrillsMust have previous experience as a Loader Operator and Development Charge Up
