Come build your career with Boeing! **Position Responsibilities:** + Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. + Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups. + Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. + Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. + Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation. + Trains others. + Works under general direction. **This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.** **This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.** + An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science + Ability to build models and navigate a 3D modeling environment such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc… + Work experience in engineering mechanical or fluid systems + Broad understanding of heat transfer concepts, heat exchange components, and/or air cycle systems + Able to summarize findings and develop conclusions documented with the Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Experience with pneumatic, electro-mechanical, or analog / digital control systems + Experience with troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign of mechanical components and systems **Typical Education/Experience:** Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
