Education/Experience
•
High School Diploma (minimum)
•
Associates degree in Manufacturing or equivalent experience preferred
•
Minimum of 3 years experience operating CNC Swiss Style Lathe’s, Rollomatic Grinder’s, EDM’s, Mills, Etchers, and/or related equipment
•
Working knowledge of CNC programming packages such as PartMaker, VG-Pro, SurfCAM, FeaturCAM, ESPRIT CAM, Tool Studio, et
Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies
•
Strong computer skills with a background in Swiss Style Lathe, CNC Flute Grinders, Etchers, or milling machine operation and programming
•
Ability to lift 50 pounds
•
Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting
•
The ability to envision the most effective approach manufacturing a part and turn this into an efficient manufacturing program
•
Ability to accurately estimate process cycle times and production costs related to the above machines
•
Excellent problem solving skills
•
Must have vision correctable to 20/20
Responsibility/Authority
•
Provides technical expertise to program Swiss Style lathes, CNC Flute Grinders, EDM Machines, Mills, Etchers, and Laser Cutters to optimize cycle times and tool life
•
Controls all program master files and maintains program standardization
•
Participates in the effort to reduce setup times, establish standard operating procedures and provide specialized training where required
•
Responsible for program proofing and maintenance requirements
•
Works with engineering to provide accurate setup time and cycle time estimates
•
Participates with Cross Functional Teams in all NPR launches
•
Willing to run production as needed when manpower requires it
