Experienced Platform Engineer

Johnson Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting a Experienced Platform Engineer, to be located in Beerse, Belgium or potentially Spring House, PA; La Jolla, CA.

We are looking for a deep technical, highly motivated and life science oriented technologist to join our team.

The role will work with a diverse group of people that are passionate about providing groundbreaking solutions to our Discovery and Development teams, so they can design and develop novel medicines that will have maximum impact in treating unmet medical need. The larger team's objective is to support and accelerate RD innovation, by delivering to our RD laboratories around the world outstanding lab informatics solutions and drive operational excellence.

The platform will support many data streams for a variety of different laboratories. Operational efficiency, observability, improvement and management of change are key attributes that need to be maintained, so the platform can meet our scientists need for producing data, AI-ready.

Key Responsibilities:Analyse functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications, implement and integrate software solutionsYou are responsible for the integration of lab platforms and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle, identify areas for improvementCollaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, developers to ensure the processes and platforms are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectivesConduct technical assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed software solutions.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to inform technical decision-making.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,000- $121,900.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

• Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

• Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

• Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

o Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

o Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
