CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut to join our Infrastructure - Transportation & Survey Team at our office in Hartford, CT. The professional in this role will be in the office approximately 80% of the time with the remaining time being spent in the field.
YOUR IMPACTCHA's comprehensive approach to survey and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project. Our approach includes a variety of tools and skillsets from boots on the ground to advanced measurement technology including the use of drones. We are focused on putting all the elements together to create sustainable solutions that result in accurate and precise work.
The Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut is responsible for obtaining and handling data and internal survey assignments utilizing CADD software. This individual will measure, record, and calculate data based on his/her findings and assist in creating drawings of the project site. The professional in this role will understand the various QC steps to be taken when preparing a survey plan or document. Additionally, the Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut will also be proactive in developing their own self checking methods.

REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree preferredNSPS-CST Level II certification preferredLSIT preferredValid US driver’s license requiredMinimum of 4 years of related experience requiredRail experience a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office requiredAutoCAD design software required, MicroStation & Inroads software preferredExperience with data processing & product deliverables Good oral and written communicationsDemonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industryStrong ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditionsAbility to travel short-term preferredAbility to work outdoors in different weather conditions requiredAbility to represent him/herself and the company in a professional manner to the public SALARY RANGE:$52,000 - $63,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
