Job Description
An engineering firm, a regional leader in professional engineering and consulting services, is seeking a transportation engineer with a P.E. to prepare and oversee revisions of original drawings and revisions of transportation, municipal, private, and industrial civil engineering projects using Microstation, InRoads, and AutoCAD software. Experience managing UDOT design including preconstruction engineering and roadway design is required. The engineer will ensure that projects are kept within budget, scope, and timeline and will communicate regularly with clients. A demonstrated history of mentoring engineers, E.I.T.s, and designers within the group, as well as experience preparing technical reports, is also required.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and oversee revisions of original drawings for transportation, municipal, private, and industrial civil engineering projects.Utilize Microstation, InRoads, and AutoCAD software for project designs.Manage UDOT design projects, including preconstruction engineering and roadway design.Ensure projects are within budget, scope, and timeline.Communicate regularly with clients to provide project updates.Mentor engineers, E.I.T.s, and designers within the group.Prepare technical reports for various engineering projects.Essential Skills RequiredProficiency in Microstation, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD software.Experience in civil engineering, roadway design, and transportation engineering.Ability to manage UDOT design projects, including preconstruction engineering and roadway design.Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification or on the path to obtaining it.Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated history of mentoring engineers and designers.Ideal Skills & QualificationsExperience preparing technical reports.Ability to maintain project budgets, scope, and timelines.Commitment to work-life balance and ensuring project workflows align with team capabilities.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $125000.00
