We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. Our full service hospital offers a fast-paced environment with exposure to more than just wellness visits.
VCA Westside is located in the heart of Pearland. Our hospital offers two locations: Hospital location (6034 Broadway, Pearland) and Clinic location (9223 W Broadway, Pearland); both are full service veterinary hospitals and located only 3 miles apart. The individual we are seeking to join our team is enthusiastic, professional, passionate about animal care, able to multitask, and has a positive attitude. Training for the Clinic location will take place at the Hospital location primarily. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
• Maintaining and assisting with medical records.
• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing positive client interaction, communication, and education.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
Compensation: Starting $15-18/hour*
