Department Overview
Operations Support is dedicated to creating cross-commodity consistency and standards in Operations. The team provides support services guided by best practices and a relentless pursuit for improvement. It has single points of accountability for Work Management & Resource Planning, Execution Support, Business Operations & Process Improvement, and Enterprise Public Works. Operations Support is comprised of approximately 1,000 coworkers.
Position Summary
This position will have responsibility for supporting the Electric and Gas Operations Change Control Tools, process and related activities, as part of a team of several colleagues.
This position will also support developing process, tools and system improvements using Power App and Power BI through partnering with the team and our cross-functional business partners.
Develops intake tools, applications and processes for intake of change requests in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 114,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $ 182,000.00
Job Responsibilities
Plan the work and work the plan on ongoing support and development of existing portfolio and integrated change management processes and toolset and its enhancements using Power App, Power Automate and Power BI, in partnership with internal team and cross-functional team members Develops recommendations regarding new or better reports or tools based on assessment of stakeholder needs, trends, strategic direction, and organizational priorities. Will lead the requirements and enhancements of existing portfolio and change management processes and systems. Applies Advanced technical skills using systems and applications such as SAP Work Management, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Platform tools (Power App, Power BI, Power Automate) to develop reports, analysis, and deliverables. Influences and negotiates to gain agreement from various stakeholders and drive process improvement and change where appropriate. Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact. Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues. Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders. Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives. Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E. Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives. May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.
Qualifications
Minimum:
BS in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required. 6 years related work experience
Desired:
Advanced data analysis skills, knowledgeable in collecting data, organizing, synthesizing, reporting, recognizing trending and anomalies, drawing conclusions, and developing recommendations. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint and Excel) and associated analytic tools such as Pivot Tables, charts, slicers, etc. Experience with: Power Platform Tools (PowerBi, Power App, Power Automate) Tableau Advanced technical skills using systems and applications such as SAP Work Management, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Excel, and PowerPoint to develop reports, analysis, and deliver presentations. Advanced knowledge in project/work scheduling concepts, methods, and practices. Knowledge of Utility industry processes and practices. Strong knowledge of capital budgeting processes and methods. Project management skills, demonstrable experience, and / or PMP certification. Demonstrated experience working with large teams and large tabular data sets, diverse data sources, and /or data models. Able to prototype process or tool solutions to intake change requests and reports. Works collaboratively with large team experience and effective collaboration skills among multiple groups. Participates in and may lead or follow cross-department continuous process improvement efforts to improve efficiencies and quality. Applies subject matter expertise and technology experience to wide-ranging planning processes and challenges.
