WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM 

 

You’ll join a growing platform for the firm as an Expert Associate Partner and thought leader to support our strategic growth in the Commercial Excellence practice, supporting B2B Pricing for our clients. You’ll help clients specifically around understanding issues from a strategic perspective related to B2B pricing, use your insights to drive improved business outcomes, and contribute to client development activities. 


You’ll join a highly successful and accomplished team that will help integrate you into the firm and create a platform for your long-term success. Commercial Excellence is a rapidly growing solution that has outpaced firm growth every year since 2017.


The general scope of the role will include approximately 70%-80% of time serving clients, with the remaining 20%-30% focused on client development opportunities and capability building activities (including IP development, building new tools, evaluating partnerships, etc.). The position will have both a regional and global focus, working directly with practice stakeholders to define priorities, and leverage learnings across geographies.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO  


You’ll primarily work with our case (engagement) teams in a client-serving role, responsibilities including:

Help build/reinforce Bain Pricing brand both internally and externallySupport teams with the engagement of prospective clients and help build our commercial plan to increase our competitiveness by bringing differentiated expertise and capabilityBe part of the selling team to drive demand generation where applicableLead a work-stream, drive deliverables, direct team resources accountable for a subset of the engagement answer and deliverables to take our high growth B2B Pricing practice to the next level, specifically focused on B2B pricing strategy, setting, getting and enablementWork in an active advisory capacity alongside teams in multiple client engagements, building relationships with client pricing, finance, sales and sales operations leadership as peersAttend/lead client updates and presentations highlighting your expertise and experience Create and launch specific tools and apply content knowledge to drive transformations with clients; package these insights in a compelling way that drives clients to action

 

ABOUT YOU 

 

Energetic, with drive, enthusiasm, and natural skills in relationship development; well-connected, with an extensive network of potentially relevant relationshipsExperience developing innovative pricing strategies across multiple dimensions of a business – product lines, BUs, regions, and at the corporate level – for both new and established products, with a focus on B2BIdeally, industry experience within industrials, and technology. Ability to leverage sales play skillset across other B2B industries including MedTech, and Private Equity/post acq would be valuable Ability to solution architect pricing tools to implement advanced pricing approaches at scale. Strong understanding of data science, AI and statistics and associated tools (e.g. Python, R, SAS); deep experience with how these disciplines are applied in pricing; ability to work with data scientists and statisticians to develop pricing models and achieve business goalsFamiliarity with digital tools including CPQ tools e.g. PROS, Salesforce CPQFluent in English and German
