We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Expert IT Strategy within our IT Procurement Asset Mgmt group based in The Woodlands.

Purchase software, hardware, and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets for ITSupport the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact IT business operationsAct as an interface between suppliers and IT staff on purchasing processes and new projects and activitiesMonitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the IT organizationProvide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activitiesPrepare reports and updates as needed or requiredWork closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvementNegotiate and improve prices with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savingsPrepare and raise purchase requisitionsBuild, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all suppliersEnsure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award processConduct research for new components and suppliersCompile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluationContact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issuesSubmit New Vendor and Vendor data update requestsCreate new and maintain all existing IT renewals in ServiceNowIssue Goods Receipts when necessaryWork with buyers to complete purchase orders Load contract documentsWork with suppliers and AP organization to resolve invoice issues

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Business or Supply Chain preferredGood knowledge of purchasing, negotiating, and general commercial understanding of cost breakdownsExperience working closely with suppliersMicrosoft Office skills with advanced Excel abilities; including use of Microsoft TeamsExperience with SAP and the P2P processExperience with ServiceNowExperience with AribaGood verbal and written communication skillsKeen attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well with a teamSense of urgency to complete tasks

Desired Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience working in a purchasing team preferably in Oil Gas, or IT environmentGeneral understanding of contract structure, IT contracts terminology preferredExperience with Power BIExperience using AWS MarketplaceExperience with Spotfire reportsAbility to add value, reduce costs and provide input to business improvementsAbility to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliersAnalytical; Numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilitiesAble to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targetsAble to work under pressure and handle emergencies or stressful situations
