WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Expert Manager, Platform Engineering, you will lead the design and build of cloud-based distributed systems that solve complex business challenges for some of the world’s largest companies. You will draw on your deep software engineering, cloud engineering, and DevOps expertise to design and build technology stacks and platform components that enable cross functional AI Engineering teams to create robust, observable and scalable solutions. You will guide a diverse engineering team through the entire engineering life cycle.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead cloud solution and distributed systems architecture for full stack AI software and data solutionsCollaborate closely with and influence general consulting teams to identify analytic solutions to client business problems, and to appropriately scope, prioritize and execute those solutionsA technical leader responsible for defining and implementing scalable, observable, manageable, and self-healing cloud-based solutions across AWS, Google Cloud and AzureLead key parts of implementation, testing and management of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) of cloud-based solutions that may include CI/CD, data integrations, APIs, web and mobile apps, and AI solutionsParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the establishment and enforcement of coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable codeLead implementation of robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational policiesCollaborate on (or lead) the development and maintenance of APIs and microservices to expose analytics functionality to internal and external consumers, adhering to best practices for API design and documentationWork with the team and other senior leaders to create a great working environment that attracts other great engineersCoach engineering teams at our clients and partners to raise their capabilities and ensure that our work is successfully deployed to the highest standardsDrive best demonstrated practices in platform engineering, and share learnings with team members in AAG about theoretical and technical developments in platform engineeringDrive industry-leading innovations that translate into great impact for our clients in case work Act as PD Advisor as neededParticipate in recruiting and onboarding for other team membersTravel is required (30%)ABOUT YOU:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field7+ years minimum experience4+ years minimum at Lead or Staff level, or equivalentProven experience as a cloud engineer and software engineer within either/or product engineering or professional services organizationsCommercial acumen and understanding of business modelsTechnical Skills and Knowledge:
