About UPMC Shadyside 3 Pavilion:

3 Pavilion is a highly trained, team-oriented unit primarily caring for medical, cardiac monitored patients, and stroke patients. This is a teaching unit with a dynamic learning environment, where you will gain experience with chest tubes, feeding tubes, trachs, and monitors. Ongoing education is valued, supported, and encouraged on 3 Pav making it a great unit for both graduate and experienced nurses seeking to expand their clinical knowledge.

High-Acuity Patients: Patients on this unit require staff members that are highly motivated, encouraging, and driven to provide patients with the best possible experiences and outcomes. Career Advancement: All nurses are telemetry trained and NIH stroke scale certified on this unit. Professional development initiatives and leadership support empower nurses to become active and respected participants within the interprofessional team that provides evidence-based, compassionate care to our patients.  Fast-Paced Teamwork: Our Registered Nurses work rotation shifts including weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor. 

Here’s how we support our nurses:

Generous Sign-On Bonus of up to $20,000 (*Amount and eligibility based on type of nursing role and candidate experience). Up to five and a half weeks of Paid Time Off annually, plus seven paid holidays each year.
