Department Overview
The Materials Distribution Operations (MDO) department and its 370 employees is responsible for the day-to-day operation and execution of PG&E’s materials distribution network throughout its 70,000 square mile service territory. Through its four materials distribution centers and over 100 field locations, MDO manages a $700 million inventory and $560 million in annual goods issues. MDO’s management and delivery of materials and supplies is critical to PG&E’s ability to provide safe and reliable electric and gas service.
Position Summary
Leads the development and implementation of Supply Chain Materials Distribution Operations (MDO) performance improvement projects from inception to closeout. Utilizes project management tools and methodologies to manage, technical, operational, and enterprise level projects and programs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
California : $116,000
California : $184,000
Bay : $122,000
Bay : $194,000

Job Responsibilities
Use best practices, analysis, market intelligence, governance, and research to improve performance and efficiency of Materials Distribution and Operations. Collaborate with various stakeholder groups to plan engagement objectives and a strategy that addresses risk and performance improvement. Define project scope and objectives; establish project team with agreed upon roles and responsibilities; obtain commitment on detailed work plans including schedule, cost, resources, contingency and communication plans; obtain management approval as needed; ensure project documentation is maintained; identify, analyze, and address project performance issues; communicate project status to all stakeholders; assess project risk and develop contingency plans; and identify and communicate lessons learned and best practices. Develop and communicates program and project updates. Develops and implements change management communication plans. Liaison between Supply Chain MDO and IT Leads on system maintenance issues and implementation of enhancements. Coordinates scheduling, testing and functional validation as required. Leads complex performance improvement projects within PG&E Supply Chain and various LOB. Participates in negotiations; assists in development of plans to take advantage of business opportunities. Projects require extensive knowledge of SAP EWM/ECC systems, concepts, principles, and practices within Supply Chain, including Sourcing, Investment Recovery and Materials Planning Support EOC Logistics and emergency response activities including oversight, reporting, and various roles within EOC Logistics section and various MTCC roles as needed.

Advanced knowledge of SAP PM Order Management process Advanced knowledge of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system and SAP MRP, ATP, GATP, Materials Management (MM) functionality. Advanced knowledge of project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods, and techniques.
