Department Overview

The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

Coordinates and assembles work and resource plans that align with the budget plan. Monitors weekly and annual execution of the work plan by the Transmission and Distribution execution organizations. . Understands the effectiveness of, and recommend improvements in business process, practice and procedures as they relate to the identification of known work and work management data quality in the various work management systems. May work closely with the GO Business Finance team to monitor and reallocate budget between programs and maintain and overall view of budget performance.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and occasionally report to HQ for meetings. HQ will be either San Carlos or Belmont.

 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $​118,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​188,000

 

Job Responsibilities

Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions to enhance controls and mitigate risks. Leads peers and stakeholders to develop a prioritized and optimized long range and annual work plan portfolio. Leads, tracks and reports on work progression. Supports assigned Division to achieve portfolio efficiencies, and initiates partnerships to develop integrated work plans and communications Ensures effective work & resource planning and scheduling for the service territory, and ensures resources align with budget. Assists in the development of contingency plans for the portfolio of work in the annual and long-term plans. Presents findings and makes recommendations to management or others within organization. Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives. Organizes and leads cross-functional project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions.

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration or comparable quantitative field or equivalent related work experience. 7 years of relevant work experience with steady progression of responsibilities.

 

Desired:

Utility industry experience, or related Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills to develop comprehensive solutions Advanced oral and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity Advanced knowledge of business and work planning processes, bonus if experience with Electric Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Business Objects or similar software Experience with SAP Work Management Experience with operations and field execution
