Export Documentation Supervisor

Summary: 

Export Documentation Supervisor at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Pacific Transport Group supporting efforts to oversee export files and audit for recording keeping compliance under Export Administration Regulations (EAR) requirements and company guidelines. This position involves logistics, financial, and compliance responsibilities, and is ideal for someone who is analytical skills, organizational skills, and is detail orientated.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Logistics and Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate records for shipping, imports, and exports, and regularly update the required spreadsheets to ensure quality and precision in all documentation.Collaborate with sales, purchasing, transportation, and customers to ensure smooth daily operations within the department.Oversee and track diversion requests, coordinating with carriers to ensure shipments are monitored through to their destination. Investigate and resolve freight invoice disputes, including researching rate discrepancies to ensure proper payment or credit is issued.Identify opportunities for process improvements within transportation operations, report findings, and assist in implementing solutions that enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.2. Compliance and Coordination:Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, review all export documents and classifications to maintain accurate records.Book ocean shipments directly with carriers and submit the Bill of Lading to the appropriate carriers.Prepare and collect export documentation/compliance packages to ensure seamless payment collection from customers, contributing to operational excellence.Communicate with customers as needed to provide updates on shipment progress or address other shipment-related inquiries.Coordinate dispatch and monitor the loading schedule in collaboration with Pacific Seafood's production and cold storage facilities to obtain necessary export documents for shipments including Canada.3. Team Leadership and Development:Provide coaching, reviews, and other forms of feedback to develop team capabilities and achieve high performance, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement.Promote an environment where productivity and quality are prioritized, ensuring that team members are equipped with the skills and support necessary to excel in their roles.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood: 

Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from accredited college or university Two or more years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Proficient in MS Office applications. 

Preferred:

Prior supervisory experienceExperience in International Logistics in food industry
