Key Responsibilities:
Track and manage shop workload to ensure timely vehicle repairsDispatch work to technicians based on skill level and service timeline to ensure accuracy and timely completionMaintain an accurate, up-to-date service scheduling form (route sheet)Monitor repair progress throughout the day, notifying ASM/Managers of any potential delays or issuesCommunicate effectively with ASM's, management, and technicians regarding job status and customer needsProvide technical staff with additional vehicle condition information as necessaryDocument all repair order changes accuratelyEnsure compliance with service department and manufacturer timekeeping proceduresFollow manufacturer, state, and federal requirements in all billing and operational proceduresTrack and manage carryovers to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairsPre-schedule appointments for special-ordered parts and track their statusReport any situations that could compromise the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, customers, or employeesAssist Service Management with any additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Automotive Service Dispatcher experience is preferredUnderstanding of the automotive service workflowProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email)Experience with ADP/CDK Dealer Services is a plusAbility to work independently and stay self-motivatedHigh-energy personality with a positive attitudeExceptional customer service skills and a professional appearanceStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a process-driven environmentOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver’s license and a clean driving record
