Expression of Interest - Automation Technician, 2nd Shift

Please note the schedule: Monday to Friday 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm, with a willingness to flex for coverage on other shifts as needed. Training schedule may be on first shift during the week for training.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for automated equipment and systems.Must be “hands on” Will keep all PM documentation up to date within the Quality SystemWill be on call outside of normal shift hours as needed for emergencies within facilityKeeps management apprised of escalating abnormal or critical situations.Utilize complex blueprints and schematics and troubleshoot/analyze problems.Communicate all necessary safety information and safety hazards connected with work being performed.Ensures effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for automated equipment and systems.Perform preventive maintenance duties as they are developed

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Excellent technical and operational knowledge of automated equipment and systemsAbility to troubleshoot complex automated systems controlled by computers programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and microprocessors in a high-volume work environment.Must be highly proficient in pneumatics and electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.Strong aptitude for repair and maintenance activitiesExcellent problem solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficientlyAbility to operate independently to multi-task and to prioritize quicklyKnowledge of Allen Bradley Controls systems preferred

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma requiredTechnical vocational training preferredBS Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in a related position required, preferably in a manufacturing facility

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current hourly pay range for this position is:

$25.62 - $38.44

$1.00 per hour Shift Differential
