The Sentinel Program is an enormous and highly complex Mega-Project modernizing the entire Minuteman III ICBM weapon system deployed over tens of thousands of square miles across five states. Without a doubt, Sentinel is one of the Department of Defense s (DoD s) most important acquisition efforts for the next decade, if not longer. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging ICBM facilities to develop and deploy a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. The effort will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. The program enjoys broad, bi-partisan support at the national level. Tell me about this job.BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Program Manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of Sentinel, the nation s next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), as the External Affairs Branch Chief.This successful candidate will have strong leadership in program management and the ability to work with cross functional teams. Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires U.S. citizenship status. \#ASFS **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + 1010 years relevant experience; 8 years with a master's degree + Strong communicationsverbal, writing and presentation skills + Experience with document creation for senior DoD and/or Congressional leaders + Experience supporting military or industry executive-level leaders (e.g. executive officer, CAG/DAG action officer, higher headquarters staff) + Must have current Secret security clearance (adjudicated within the past 6 years) or higher and be eligible to obtain and maintain all required Special Program accesses. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Prior experience with DoD Acquisitions Programs and/or weapons systems + Prior DoD Public Affairs experience + Prior Legislative Liaison experience + Program Management Professional (PMP) certification + ICBM experience a plus **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $115110 - $195660 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
