\nWhat We're Looking For:\n

The Crystal Stairs Community Voices Program is a critical part of our family services mission to improve the lives of families through quality early childhood education, child care services, research, and advocacy by educating, empowering, and advocating for children and working families. \n

Community Voices is one of the largest county-wide advocacy programs of its kind in LA County, focused on building parent and provider leadership through advocacy workshops, trainings and legislative interactions.\n

The right candidate will be driven by: \n\nSocial justice causes\nEquity & systemic change\nGrassroots organizing\nLegislative interaction with elected officials\nCommunity outreach\nCoalition building\nDisrupting the status quo\n\n
\nResponsibilities:\n\nCoordinate the overall program strategy and action with Community Voices partners LA Countywide. Responsible for the oversight and organization of the agencies Advocacy efforts for parents\/child care providers and community stakeholders\nCoordinate and lead Advocacy events; Stand for Children Day in Sacramento, CA and LA County Stand for Children Day in Los Angeles\nStrengthen the Community Voices program by building strategic partnerships and providing technical assistance to Alliance agencies to development parent leaders; community organizing strategies and parent recruitment and leadership development\nAssist in the development of program marketing materials, electronic newsletter, social media content and keep all communication materials updated\n\n
\nEXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:\n\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent in Communications, Communications or related field required\nMinimum of 3 to 5 years community outreach and partnership cultivation experience, public relations, and\/or marketing experience required. Communications experience for a community-based organization with a similar mission preferred\nMust be an analytical and strategic thinker.\nMust have strong project management and presentation experience and ability to organize, prioritize and delegate workflow. \nExcellent writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills are required.\nKnowledge of printing\/ production\/ design processes\/electronic media required\n\n
