External Communications Vice President

Join JPMorgan Chase’s leading global media relations team to drive the narrative on high-profile projects impacting employees, local economies, and shareholders.

As the External Communications Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to crafting proactive external communications campaigns and managing media inquiries for JPMorgan Chase's key corporate functions, including Global Human Resources, Finance, Investor Relations, Global Real Estate, and the Chief Administrative Office. We seek a candidate with experience in developing holistic communications campaigns across earned, owned, and paid channels to effectively convey the firm’s impact as a major employer and the benefits of working for JPMorgan Chase. Additionally, you will collaborate with senior leaders in Finance and Investor Relations to address media inquiries related to the firm’s financial performance and contribute to materials for quarterly earnings, Investor Day, the Annual Meeting, and investor conferences.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop proactive external communications plans for new office openings, expansions, and renovations, highlighting the firm’s local economic impact as a major employer, including the new headquarters in New York City. Plan and manage logistics for major press events involving executives, public sector officials, and community partners. Identify and pursue opportunities to amplify the benefits of working for JPMorgan Chase, including hiring announcements, policy enhancements, and employee programs. Serve as a spokesperson for media inquiries related to financial performance, real estate investments, and employee matters. Develop prep materials and handle media inquiries for quarterly earnings, Investor Day and the Annual Meeting. Maintain and grow the firmwide awards and rankings amplification strategy. Build relationships with global, national, and trade journalists covering JPMorgan Chase, financial services, real estate, and the workplace. Review and develop talking points for speaking engagements and media interviews. Support ad hoc communications assignments across all lines of business and corporate functions.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills: 

7 + years of experience driving integrated communications strategies for corporations, campaigns or non-profits.  Experience that demonstrates public and private sector knowledge with track record leading projects with numerous stakeholders Strategic thinker who can work with colleagues across lines of business to meet mutual goals Strong written and verbal communications skills. Excellent project management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail Proven ability to build effective, collaborative relationships Sound judgment, strong decision-making skills and ability to advance independently  Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
