Job Purpose and ImpactThe Machine Operator III will operate production or warehouse machines that are non-similar requiring moderate to complex setup and machine adjustments, perform maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues with in-depth understanding of policy and procedures with regular guidance and providing support to others. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all Food Safety and regulatory polices as required.

Principal Accountabilities Extrude quality product in an efficient manner, inspecting every 30 minutesConduct and document quality in-process checksEnsure proper additive ingredients are being used and applied at the specified ratesSet-up die plates and knife headsMinimize start-up and change-over times working as efficiently as possibleCommunicate with batching and meat room operators with understanding of product flowKeeping working area and extrusion line clean and orderlyAssist in weekly sanitation of equipmentTransfer responsibilities from shift to shiftQualifications
Required Qualifications:
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipmentAbility to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Basic use of a computerAbility to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice1 year experience in production related workPreferred Qualifications:Forklift certifiedHigh School diploma or EquivalentWorking knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word1+ years’ experience in food extrusion
